The Oaks Society of Nicholls State University comprises alumni, parents, faculty and friends who have made a planned gift to Nicholls State University or the closely related Nicholls Foundation. Membership is granted to any individual who shares documentation of their gift plan, no matter the amount of the gift or the age of the donor. Gifts may be unrestricted or designated to a support the area of the donor’s choice that will assist with furthering the mission of Nicholls State University.

Much like the Oaks that were present on campus at the university’s founding and not total nearly 50 in number, planned gifts have the potential to be a long lasting contribution to Nicholls that will have an impact for generations. In addition to the deep gratitude from all at Nicholls, membership in The Oaks Society will include, but not limited to the following:
– Recognition as a member of The Oaks Society in annual reports and other similar publications
– Periodic special communications and updates about The Oaks Society and Nicholls
– Invitations to special events and activities on campus
– Special Oaks Society lapel pin
